Go Speed Racer Go~!

Ok so someone in the house forgot to set the alarm clock properly. Was enjoying my sleep until it went off and in a quiet house, it can sound rather loud. Oh well, might as well get up and get on with my day as I got some stuff to clear anyway.

First off was to register for the upcoming Singapore Bay Run or affectionately known the Amy Half Marathon to us who have been through the national service. Yup after completing the 10km route last year, I decided that my ankle is ready to take on the 21km route. And my cousin decided to challenge me to do it in 2hours or less. He will pay for me first but if I fail that timing, I have to pay him back(which makes it kinda interesting).

Considering that I have given up on alot of things, the extra time can be used to spend on training up for this. 2 hours is not easy for a first timer but hey, no pain no gain. And with the money from the government in, its time to go shoe shopping as its about time to retire my old DS Trainer.


One option I have is to go with the latest version of the DS Trainer which is in its 13 design cycle now. Colour scheme looks rather army but hey, if it gets the job done I dun think anyone can complain.


Another option I have is to go back to adidas. Was told that recently they got a new shoe engineer and reviews have started to get better. Considering my running style and advise given to me by a local group of sg runners, I should be looking at certain models and this one caught my eye. The yellow looks striking as well.

It seems that I missed out a few movies in the june period with my previous movie schedule. So here we have the updated one:

Looks like I know where all my money is going into for the next 2 months. Lets hope Safra will extend their $8 weekend movies so that can save the $2. After all, looking at the schedule, there is at least $18 to be saved.

Found another cool looking poster for the upcoming movie "The Dark Knight". The more I see these posters, the more I wanna make sure I watch the movie. Looks like a good way to also reward myself since its just after my fyp final presentation.



And as with my blog title, I found this nice little music video for the upcoming Speed Racer movie and now its kinda stuck in my head.

Heh, one of the drift scenes track kinda look like ripped out from Initial D. The stage where the you meet all the Lancers. Yup I used to spend lots of time at the arcade playing Initial D(Haha I love fast cars, but in real life I am a safe driver. Or at least I try my best to be).

Lastly it looks to be a busy week for me. Not that I got lots of work(haha hope my fyp group dun see this) but rather I have lots of stuff lined up this week.

Monday ~ Tuesday : Figure out how to create fonts for my FYP project.
Wednesday : Mother's Birthday Dinner
Thursday : Cousins all coming over for lunch
Friday : Dinner at Sakura with the people from HardwareZone and some of the Distros.
Saturday ~ Sunday : Ironman Anyone? I still got my $8 offer ;)
