And I got my heart set on what happens next..

"This Is Home" by Switchfoot

Well trust Kenneth to find stuff like that. Hehe... Yup this is the new song from Switchfoot for the upcoming movie The Chronicles of Narnia : Prince Caspian. And I would say Switchfoot captured the main idea it very nicely. Well I wun give away too much of the story having read the book but if you understood the meaning behind the story, you will appreciate the song even more.

I do have a friend who did ask why I read the book before the movie, well to tell you the truth, I never knew about the whole set of books until late one evening while on the way back to camp after going for my usual nights out, I spotted one bus with promo pictures for the first movie. And what struck me most was that the author was C.S.Lewis.

Yup I was quite surprised as I never really knew he wrote non thick huge bible guides, books on cheam subjects with titles I cannot even pronounce and what nots. I mean he was not one that would write fantasy stories, well at least not to me. And so on the next nights out, I headed to Borders and got me the whole set.

Here is my set, looking like its been through abit. Well it did considering I brought it up with me to thailand during one of my overseas exercise. 2 books fits nicely into the one side pocket of the number 4 uniform.

So to answer my friend, I did read the story way way back and I decided to read it again to refresh my memory. Of course I expect the movie to have abit of changes but hey, movies are movies and books are books.

Although I must say I was rather tempted to go get the premiere tickets when I first heard about it being open to the public on good old hardwarezone forums.

Quoted From " The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" Thread

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Singapore, will host the biggest premiere event ever in Singapore, for the upcoming blockbuster “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”.

Only a limited quantity of 3,000 sets will be produced in Singapore and with each set duly serialized.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian will open in Singapore theaters on May 29, 2008.

But in the end I decided to wait for all my friends to watch it together having already missed out watching the first one with them due to me having the chance to watch it at a special screening back then.(ok so maybe things do even out. After all I also got to watch a few more special screenings last time, the oldest I think being Air Force One.) Plus I got some fyp work to clear as per the work schedule set out so I guess I can wait.

Well at least I got these cards from the screening of the first movie. Really impressed with the team that did it considering the time frame they had to come out with something like that. And even more so when I got the chance to visit their office and finally given a chance to work with them later on.

Well I would like to go on and on regarding the story but I guess I will stop here. Until then...

Cheers,
Kenneth.
